Animal Picnic Poop

Lunch is always chaotic at our house. Meals and kids really just don't make sense. At least for my two, if given a choice, they'll always choose playing before eating, unless really really hungry in which case they choose crying over eating.

So today we invited our animals to the table for lunch. Pace, never far from his horse these days (a Christmas present from Great-Uncle Robert, THANK YOU!), decided to share his grilled cheese.

Now as anyone might have told me, when a horse starts eating, it also starts...POOPING! That horse ended up pooping right on the table. Quickly grabbing a spatula, Pace scraped it up into a pile and then flushed it down the toilet.

Encouraged by his friend's humongous bowel movement, he decided to do one of his own, but not before setting up a bed for horsey and Moo Moo so they could rest. "This may take a while guys!"

While this was going on, Satya was busily climbing up and down from her chair, trying to convince me that her Moo Moo was a much better seat.

Nini, her kitty, got many kisses throughout and in the end I think more calories were dropped in the toilet than consumed by either child.

Well, there's always dinner...

It's a Boy!

After many years of gender confusion, Pace emerges male!

On Monday, Jan. 25th over 6 inches of naturally streaked, slightly wavy hair fell to the floor, precipitated by a generation of pant-and truck-wearing preschool girls who have successfully blurred the gender lines enough to necessitate turning stunning long-haired boys into perfectly ordinary short-hairs.

Pace's comment? "I can play catch now! My hair doesn't get in my eyes when I run and jump. And mom doesn't make me practice flipping hair out of my face or tucking it behind my ears."

Mom and dad concede that it was perhaps a little long!
